Subject: Save the date to volunteer or participate in the Best Buddies Friendship Walk, Saturday, April 22

Happy Best Buddies Month! All month long we’ll be celebrating and taking action to advocate for inclusion of people with IDD.

Signing up to volunteer at the Best Buddies Friendship Walk is a great way to celebrate Best Buddies Month. This year's Friendship Walk takes place on Saturday, April 22 at Golden Gate Park and we would love to have you join us to help make the event a success!

The volunteer roles for the day of the event include:

1. Photographer/Videographer: Capture the Friendship Walk event in photos and/or video.
   
2. Set up: Assemble canopies, set up tables and chairs, signage and decorations; prepare the food tent, etc.
   
3. Greeter: Direct arriving participants to the Registration Tent and direct volunteers to their designated areas.
   
4. Registration and Check-in: Register and Check-in walkers, sponsors, and volunteers. Give out event shirts. Take donations.
   
5. Food Tent: Provide snack and beverage service.
   
6. First-aid Station: Provide first-aid as needed for folks at the event.
   
7. Activity Booth Attendant: Host and monitor activities and games.
   
8. Route Monitor/Cheer Zone: Direct and cheer participants at designated points along the route.
   
9. Bicycle Route Monitor/First-aid: Roam the course on bike and provide assistance or basic first aid along the route as needed.
   
10. Water Station: Set up a table at the halfway point. Pour cups of water for the participants.
    
11. Break down and Clean up: Help us leave Golden Gate Park as it was before we held the event.

Thank you for making our past Friendship Walks rewarding experiences for all the participants, and I hope that volunteering on the day of the event was gratifying for you, too. Sign up to volunteer again at this year's Best Buddies Friendship Walk! is a great way to celebrate Best Buddies Month. The Best Buddies Friendship Walk is the leading walk in the country supporting inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The Friendship Walk raises vital funds for Best Buddies programs that establish opportunities for 1:1 friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for people with (IDD). It's a celebration of inclusion, and the achievements of everyone in the Best Buddies community, and grows awareness of the Best Buddies mission.

This year's Friendship Walk takes place on Saturday, April 22 at Golden Gate Park and we would love to have your group_or_team join us to help make the event a success!
